and my bearings have gone bad (they told me I waited to long in between oil changes) For a new Jasper Engine w/labor it’s $4400 I know that I am going to have negative equity but if I do trade it what’s the lowest amount I should accept.

No matter what you do you still owe 7 grand. And you really cant get anything for it yourself with a blown engine. your in a bad situation, why not just rebuild the engine. for about half the price of a new one, or look into a short block ( arebuilt short block). call a junk yard and see if they can get ahold of an engine for 4-5 hundred.

provided everything else is in good shape i would go with overhauling the engine u already have(this would be cheaper than a new one) or if it is that bad get a new engine. P.S. good word of advise change the oil every 3000 miles.

get the motor, you wont get squat for the car with no running engine and still have to buy another and who knows what the costs will be on that. ps shop around on the engine work!

Well, with a blown engine, you are not going to get much on a trade-in and you will never get your money back out of it on a trade-in if you put a new motor in it and you are still going to owe $7000.00 on it. If I were you, I would either put the new engine in or find a good used engine to install.

With that blown engine, you’re not going anywhere, check out what you can get for the car, and rebuild the completely necessary parts, but go cheap, no brand names, and go used parts. Then you can slowly rebuild it enough to get a good deal on it. Also research what you can get on a new engine, that’s better than the $4400, and remember, you still owe $7000 so either way you’re in a hole, the thing is finding the least damaging way to get out. Hope it works out.

see what it will cost to have your engine overhauled, it might be cheaper then a new engine.
